2005 Mackay Open
Craig Rowland and Donna Urquhart are the 2005 Champions.
Craig Rowland need 5 games to dispose of Scott Arnold. Arnold continues to improve and this time had Rowland 2-1 before going down in a close 5 setter: 11/5 5/11 7/11 11/2 11/6.
If that wasn't close enough Donna Urquhart and Peta Hughes decided they would have another one of their close 5 set matches.
After losing to Hughes at Caboolture earlier in the month, Urquhart must have done a little extra training to run out the champ 10-8 in the 5th.
The final scorline read: 4/9 9/6 8/10 9/5 10/8.
What a GREAT OPEN - Both finals went to five!
Despite not attending the Mackay Open both Brad Freeme and Lisa Camilleri have won the Rookie Pro Circuit for 2005.

DAY 1 REPORT
12 PSA Men and 5 WISPA Ladies have by-passed the Qatar Squash Championships to be in sunny Mackay for the final Rookie Pro event for 2005!
No real surprises after Day 1. The Top 4 seeds are through to the semi finals in the Men's event. Peta Hughes and Donna Urquhart look set to have another classic battle in the Ladies event.
