Five Events ... Four Finals!
Samantha Davies 19YAG, Tayla Sinclair 17YAG Kelly Preston 13YAG and Jamie McErvale 15YAG stormed into their respective finals at the NSW Junior Championships today.
Davies defeated Pia Baston 15-1 15-3 15-8 before destroying NSW's Tamryn Beveridge 12-15 15-5 15-5 15-2.
Sinclair needed four games to beat fellow Queenslander Jacqui Holmes 15-6 11-15 15-4 17-14. She now meets Holly Butcher in the final.
Preston made short work of beating Lauren Tonkin 15-3 15-1 15-5 and will now meet ACT's Christine Nunn in the final.
McErvale was most impressive beating WA's Tim Cornish 15-13 15-11 15-11. Earlier in the day McErvale defeated Darryn Piper 16-17 15-4 15-1 15-1.
McErvale now takes on the top seed Cameron Deehan from NSW in the final. Deehan made a name for himself at the National Junior Series in April when he defeated Matt Hopkin in five.
The odds are good that we can win all four titles.
In the only other matches today Julius Krauss and Matt Muller had strong wins in the morning but faulted in the afternoon to the top 2 seeds.
Krauss beat Ben Colohan 15-7 13-15 15-11 15-10 before losing to the #2 seed and arch rival Aaron Fyfe 10-15 8-15 14-17.
Muller beat Jacob Evans 15-8 15-7 15-7 before losing to #1 seed Matt Durda 9-15 11-15 8-15.
